Walking
Start at the center of Lamego, near the Lamego Cathedral (Sé de Lamego). From the cathedral, head west on Rua do Comércio. After about 300 meters, you will reach a roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenida Doutor Alfredo de Sousa. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the next roundabout. Take the first exit onto Rua da Liberdade. After approximately 500 meters, you will see a sign for Magueija on your left. Follow the road towards Magueija, which is about 2 kilometers away. Once you arrive in Magueija, continue straight until you see signs for Baloiço do Picoto. The viewpoint is located on a hilltop, so be prepared for a short uphill walk to reach the site.
Public Transport
From Lamego, walk to the nearest bus station located on Avenida Doutor Alfredo de Sousa. Look for the bus heading towards Magueija; it usually departs every hour. Once you board, you will travel for approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Magueija stop. From there, head towards the village center, and look for signs directing you to Baloiço do Picoto. The viewpoint is about a 20-minute walk uphill from the village center, so wear comfortable shoes.
