Walking
Start at the center of Lamego, at Praça da República. Head southwest on Rua do Comércio towards Rua da Boavista. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua Serpa Pinto. Turn left onto Rua Serpa Pinto, and walk until you reach the junction with the N-225 road. Cross the road and continue straight on the footpath that leads you towards the countryside. After about 15 minutes of walking, keep an eye out for a small trail leading to your left. This path will take you through a forested area. Follow the trail for an additional 10-15 minutes, and you will arrive at the Oldest Chestnut Tree, which is a prominent landmark in the area.
