Walking
From the center of Lamego, head southwest towards Rua da Liberdade. Walk straight down Rua da Liberdade until you reach the intersection with Avenida Dr. Alfredo de Sousa. Turn left onto Avenida Dr. Alfredo de Sousa and continue until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto N225. Follow N225 for about 6 kilometers, keeping an eye out for signs to Ermelo. Once you reach Ermelo, look for local signs pointing towards Fisgas de Ermelo, which is a popular hiking area. The trailhead is clearly marked.
Public Transport
Start at the Lamego bus station located on Rua Dr. Alfredo de Sousa. Take the bus towards Peso da Régua and ask the driver to let you off at Ermelo. The journey should take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Ermelo, look for signs that direct you to Fisgas de Ermelo. It is a short walk from the bus stop to the hiking area.
