Walking
From the center of Lamego, head north towards Rua da Rainha Santa Isabel. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenida Dr. Alfredo de Sousa. Turn left onto Avenida Dr. Alfredo de Sousa and walk for approximately 1 kilometer. You will pass by several shops and cafes. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will reach the bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Lamego). From there, take a bus towards Carrazeda de Ansiães, which should be clearly marked. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes, and once you arrive at Carrazeda de Ansiães, follow signs to Foz do Tua, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
Public Transport - Train and Bus
Start at Lamego train station. Walk to the station exit and head towards the main road (Rua da Estação). Turn left and continue walking for about 300 meters to reach the nearest bus stop. Check the schedule for buses heading to Carrazeda de Ansiães. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride for approximately 30 to 40 minutes. Upon arrival at Carrazeda de Ansiães, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Foz do Tua, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from the center of Lamego. Look for a taxi stand or call a local taxi service. Inform the driver that you would like to go to Foz do Tua in Carrazeda de Ansiães. The journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. This option is more convenient if you are traveling with luggage or prefer not to navigate public transport.
