Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in central Alfama, head towards Rua da Regueira. This street is located near the Lisbon Cathedral (Sé de Lisboa). Walk down Rua da Regueira until you reach a small intersection. Turn left onto Rua de São Miguel and continue straight until you see Largo do Chafariz de Dentro. Old Alfama Square is at the end of this street, identifiable by the large fountain in the square.

    If you are farther away in Alfama, you can use the famous Tram 28. Get on the tram at any nearby stop heading towards Martim Moniz. Ride the tram until you reach the stop 'Chafariz de Dentro'.
