Tram
To reach the Bica Funicular, start by locating the nearest tram stop for the iconic Tram 28, which is a popular route among tourists. If you're in the Baixa district, you can catch Tram 28 at the 'Praça do Comércio' stop. Board the tram and enjoy the scenic ride. After a few stops, get off at 'Conserveira de Lisboa' stop. From there, walk along Rua da Conceição until you reach Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo. The funicular will be just a few steps away.
Walking
If you are nearby in the Chiado area, you can walk to the Bica Funicular. From the famous 'Café A Brasileira,' head down Rua Garrett towards the river. Continue onto Rua de São Paulo, and then turn right onto Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo. The funicular's entrance will be on your left at number 81.
Metro and Walking
If you are coming from the Parque das Nações area, take the Metro from 'Oriente' station on the Red Line to 'Alameda' station, then transfer to the Green Line towards 'Cais do Sodré.' Get off at 'Cais do Sodré' station. Once you exit the station, walk straight towards Rua do Arsenal and continue along the river until you reach Praça do Comércio. From there, follow the Tram directions or use the walking directions to get to Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo.
Bus
If you're near the Avenida da Liberdade, you can take Bus 758. Board the bus at any stop along the Avenida da Liberdade heading towards 'Cais do Sodré.' Get off at the 'Cais do Sodré' stop. From there, walk towards Rua do Arsenal, then follow the directions as mentioned for the Metro or Tram.
