The instructions for picking up the tickets were very confusing. We thought we were being scammed. After waiting 20 mins a guy showed up, didn’t apologise for his lateness and didn’t listen to our feedback. Then we had to line up for 45 minutes to finally get on the tram. It’s cheaper and better if you buy the ticket directly in the tourist shop. Not worth it. Then we were sent a link for the audio in the tram and it never worked. The tour company never answered my phone calls when I wanted to complain. Don’t buy this. Save yourself some money and go to the ticket area of the tram directly.

I give a star because I can't give less, terrible experience. Endless line under the heat and then see nothing, the drivers are rude. I strongly advise against trying it.

We bought te tickets for tram 28 with tripadvisor. Next to the tram we met Alex. He was very helpful and very kind. He gave us a lot of information about Lisbon.

Probably the cheapest and easiest way to extract lore the city. A daily ticket is available from the central railway station via a ticketing machine. You will need to be patient as the machine although in English can be confusing and trying to find customer services is like trying to find an honest politician! Step one: buy a travel card at euro 0.50. This lasts a year and is used to top up against any travel throughout the year it is valid. Step two. Navigate to page 2 - this is where you will find ticketing options. Once you know how it’s dead easy. Trams can be very busy in the city, but like Japan, there’s always room for more. Tip: if you want to enjoy the ride just stay on board as they all have a terminus before they repeat the run, but in the return leg you will be up front seeing all the action! Good luck.
