If you are in the central area of Lisbon, you can take a pleasant walk to the Rose Compass. Start at 'Praça do Comércio', walk west along 'Rua da Prata' which turns into 'Rua do Arsenal' and continue towards the riverfront. From there, head west along the water for about 30 minutes until you reach 'Padrao dos Descobrimentos' (Monument to the Discoveries) where the Rose Compass is located.
