If you're traveling by car, start from Funchal, the capital of Madeira. Take the VR1 motorway heading north, and follow the signs towards Santana. After about 25 km, take the exit for the ER103 road towards Santo da Serra. Continue on ER103 for approximately 12 km until you reach the village of Ribeiro Frio. Once in Ribeiro Frio, look for signs indicating the Levada dos Cedros trailhead. There is a parking area available nearby where you can leave your car.
