Exit at Caniço and follow the signs towards Praia do Garajau. The beach is located at the bottom of a cliff, so parking is available nearby, but be prepared for a short walk down to the beach area.

For those using public transportation, take the bus from Funchal to Caniço. The bus routes 1, 2, or 4 will take you to Caniço. Once you arrive at Caniço, you can either walk or take a taxi to Praia do Garajau, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Make sure to check the bus schedules for the return trip as they may vary, particularly on weekends.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can take the cable car from Caniço down to Praia do Garajau. The cable car station is located near Caniço's main area. If you are already in the vicinity of Caniço, and enjoy walking, you can take a scenic route down to Praia do Garajau.
