Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Guimarães, start at Praça de São Tiago. Head east towards Rua de São Francisco. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua de Alfredo Pimenta. Turn left onto Rua de Alfredo Pimenta and walk until you reach the end of the street. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Rua da Liberdade. Continue on Rua da Liberdade until you reach the next roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenida de Dom João IV. After about 1 km, you will enter Porto. Continue straight, and Rua do Dr. Barbosa de Castro will be on your right. The Clube Real do Fado is located at number 65.

• Public Transport

  From the Guimarães train station, take the train heading to Porto São Bento. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Porto São Bento, exit the station and head towards the metro station. Take Line D (Blue Line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos and get off at the stop called 'Trindade'. From Trindade station, transfer to Line A (Blue Line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos. Get off at the 'Aliados' stop. Exit the station and walk down Avenida dos Aliados towards the south. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua do Dr. Barbosa de Castro, where you will find Clube Real do Fado at number 65.
