Car
If you are driving to Museu da Guerra Colonial, start your journey from the center of Vila Nova de Famalicão. Head southeast on Avenida da Liberdade towards Rua do Comércio. Continue straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenida de França. Continue for another 1 km, and you will find Lago Discount on your right side. The museum is located in Bloco 35-A, B e C inside this shopping complex. Parking is available within the Lago Discount complex, which is usually free, but it’s advisable to check for any specific parking fees.
Public Transportation
To reach Museu da Guerra Colonial using public transportation, start at the Vila Nova de Famalicão train station. Take a local bus (Bus Line 20) towards Lago Discount, which is approximately a 15-minute ride. The bus fare is around €1.50. Get off at the Lago Discount stop, and the museum will be a short walk inside the shopping complex, located in Bloco 35-A, B e C. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may vary, especially on weekends.
