From the center of Guimarães, head towards the Guimarães train station. Once you reach the station, exit and follow the signs for the bus to Porto. Take the bus to Porto, which should take around 1 hour. Once you arrive in Porto, make your way towards the Ribeira district. You can do this by walking towards the Douro River; the Ribeira area is directly along the waterfront. Look for signs directing you to R. do Barredo, which is one of the main streets in Ribeira.

Public Transport (Bus)
Start from Guimarães city center and find the nearest bus stop for the bus to Porto. Purchase a ticket to Porto, and board the bus. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. When you arrive in Porto, disembark at the bus station. From there, walk towards the riverfront and head towards the Ribeira area. R. do Barredo is located on the waterfront and is easily accessible on foot from the river.

Train and Walking
Get to Guimarães train station and take a train to Porto São Bento station. The train ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Upon arriving at Porto São Bento, exit the station and head down Rua de 31 de Janeiro. Continue walking straight until you reach the riverfront. Once you are at the Douro River, turn left and walk along the river until you reach the Ribeira area. R. do Barredo will be on your right as you approach the waterfront.
