Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from central Minho, take the A3 motorway towards Lisbon. Follow signs for the A1 towards Lisbon. After approximately 1.5 hours, merge onto the A2 motorway. Follow the A2 until you reach Lisbon. Once you arrive in Lisbon, take the exit for Praça do Império, and follow the signs to Jerónimos Monastery. There is a parking lot available near the monastery, but be aware that parking may incur a fee.

• Train

  To reach Jerónimos Monastery via train, head to your nearest train station in Minho and take a train towards Lisbon. The journey typically takes around 3-4 hours, depending on the service. Once in Lisbon, disembark at the Cais do Sodré station. From there, you can take Tram 15 or Bus 727 towards Belém. Get off at the 'Mosteiro dos Jerónimos' stop, which is a short walk from the monastery.

• Bus

  If you prefer to travel by bus, you can find a bus service from major cities in Minho to Lisbon. Check with local bus companies for schedules. Once you arrive at the Sete Rios bus station in Lisbon, you can take the Metro (Blue Line) to 'Cais do Sodré'. From Cais do Sodré, transfer to Tram 15 or Bus 727 to 'Mosteiro dos Jerónimos'. The monastery is located a short distance from the bus/tram stop.

• Taxi or Ride-sharing

  For a more direct and comfortable route, consider taking a taxi or using a ride-sharing service like Uber. Simply input 'Jerónimos Monastery' or 'Mosteiro dos Jerónimos' as your destination. This option is more expensive but offers door-to-door service, which can be convenient if you're traveling with luggage or in a group.
