    From the center of Ponte de Lima, start at the Praça da República. Head southeast on Avenida dos Combatentes towards Rua da Igreja. Continue straight onto Rua da Igreja, which will lead you to the riverside promenade. Walk along the promenade until you reach the Ponte de Lima bridge. Cross the bridge and keep walking straight until you reach the bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Valença). From here, take a bus to Valença. Once you arrive in Valença, exit the bus station and head northwest on Rua da Estação until you reach R. de Mousinho de Albuquerque. The Fortaleza de Valença will be on your right.

    To reach the Fortaleza de Valença from Ponte de Lima, walk to the nearest bus stop at the Terminal Rodoviário de Ponte de Lima, located near the town center. Take a bus heading to Valença. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Valença's bus station, exit and walk northwest on Rua da Estação. Continue along this road until you reach R. de Mousinho de Albuquerque. The fortress will be located at number 79 on your right.
