If you're in Porto, start by heading to the nearest metro station. Take Line A (Blue Line) towards 'Senhora da Hora'. You will need to transfer at 'São Bento' station, which is in the city center of Porto. Once at 'São Bento', transfer to Line B (Red Line) towards 'Estádio do Dragão'. Get off at 'Braga' station. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to Praça da República. Exit the station and head northeast on Avenida da Liberdade. Continue straight until you reach Praça da República.
Train
From Porto, head to the 'São Bento' train station. Purchase a ticket to Braga from the ticket counter or ticket machines. The train ride takes about 40-50 minutes. Once you arrive at Braga station, exit the station and turn left onto Avenida da Liberdade. Walk straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach Praça da República.
Bus
To get to Praça da República in Braga by bus, you can take a bus from the Campo 24 de Agosto bus terminal in Porto. Look for services that travel to Braga. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the bus station in Braga, exit and walk about 800 meters northeast on Avenida da Liberdade to reach Praça da República.

If you are already in Braga, you can walk to Praça da República. Start from the Braga Cathedral (Sé de Braga), head southeast on Rua do Raio, then turn left onto Avenida da Liberdade.
