Walking
If you're starting from the iconic Livraria Lello, exit the bookstore and head southeast on Rua das Carmelitas. Continue straight until you reach Praça de Lisboa. From there, turn left onto Rua de Passos Manuel and walk until you reach Rua de Gomes Freire. Turn right onto Rua de Gomes Freire and continue walking. The Miradouro das Fontainhas will be on your right at number 18. It’s a short 15-minute walk.

Public Transport
From São Bento Railway Station, exit and head to the nearby Praça de Almeida Garrett. Take the Metro Line D (Yellow Line) towards Santo Ovídio. Get off at the stop 'Campo 24 de Agosto'. Exit the station and walk straight towards Rua de Gomes Freire. Turn left onto Rua de Gomes Freire and walk until you reach number 18. The Miradouro das Fontainhas will be on your right. The total journey should take around 25 minutes.

Walking
If you are near the Ribeira waterfront, start at the Cais da Ribeira and walk uphill towards the Rua de Infante D. Henrique. Follow the road as it curves to the right and transforms into Rua do Ouro. Continue straight until you reach Rua de Gomes Freire. Turn left and walk until you arrive at number 18, where the Miradouro das Fontainhas is located. This scenic route will take about 30 minutes.

From the historic area of Ribeira, walk to the nearest tram stop, which is located at the Cais da Ribeira. Take Tram Line 1 towards the Jardim do Passeio Alegre. Get off at the stop 'Figueira'. From there, it's a 20-minute walk. Head towards Rua de Gomes Freire, and turn left when you reach it. Continue until you reach number 18 where Miradouro das Fontainhas is located.
