Once you arrive at Guimarães Train Station, exit the station and follow the signs to the city center, which is about a 15-minute walk. You will find the historical center with its beautiful landmarks and attractions.

You can also take a bus from Porto to Guimarães. Head to the Campo 24 de Agosto bus station, which is accessible via the metro (Line B - Yellow Line) to the Campo 24 de Agosto station. At the bus station, look for buses heading to Guimarães. Companies like Rede Expressos and FlixBus operate this route. Purchase your bus ticket either at the counter or online. The bus ride takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Guimarães bus station, the city center is a short 10-minute walk away; just follow the signs towards the historical area.
