Metro
If you're near a Metro station, take the Metro Line D (Yellow Line) towards Santo Ovídio. Get off at the 'São Bento' station, which is about a 10-minute ride. Once you exit the station, you will be in the historic center of Porto. From there, head northwest on Rua de Almada towards Praça da Liberdade, which is about a 5-minute walk.
Bus
Find the nearest bus stop and take bus number 207, 200, or 303 that heads towards Avenida dos Aliados. Get off at the 'Aliados' stop, which is a central location. From the bus stop, walk towards the north on Avenida dos Aliados, then turn right onto Rua do Comércio do Porto. Continue straight for about 5 minutes until you reach Praça da Liberdade.
Walking
If you are already in the central area of Porto, you can walk to Praça da Liberdade. Locate Avenida dos Aliados and walk north. As you walk, enjoy the view of the stunning buildings. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will see Praça da Liberdade on your left side.
Tram
Take Tram Line 1 (the historic tram) from the Ribeira area towards the Carmo stop. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the Carmo stop. From there, it is about a 7-minute walk. Head east on Rua de Carmo, then turn right onto Rua de Sá da Bandeira. Continue straight until you reach Praça da Liberdade.
