Metro
If you are near the São Bento Metro Station, take the Blue Line (Line A) towards Estádio do Dragão. Get off at the stop called 'Casa da Música'. From there, exit the station and walk towards the 'Avenida da Boavista'. Continue walking straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto 'Avenida da República'. Follow this road for about 15 minutes, and you will arrive at Praça da República, which will be on your left.
Bus
Locate the nearest bus stop and take bus number 204 or 303. Both lines will take you towards the city center. Get off at the 'Avenida da Boavista' stop. From there, walk down 'Avenida da Boavista' until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, continue straight onto 'Avenida da República'. After a 10 to 15 minute walk, you will see Praça da República ahead on your left.
Walking
If you are in the vicinity of the Clérigos Tower, begin your walk by heading towards Rua dos Clérigos. Continue until you reach the 'Rua de Cândido dos Reis'. Follow this street until you arrive at 'Rua de Passos Manuel'. Turn left and continue straight until you reach 'Avenida dos Aliados'. From there, turn right and walk straight until you reach Praça da República, which will be on your right.
Tram
Find a nearby tram stop and take tram number 1, which runs along the riverfront. Enjoy the scenic ride until you reach the 'São Bento' stop. From there, head towards 'Rua de 31 de Janeiro' and walk straight until you reach 'Avenida dos Aliados'. Turn left and walk straight for about 10 minutes until you arrive at Praça da República, located on your right.
