Continue on N339 for approximately 5 km until you reach the turn-off for Covão do Boi, which is well marked. Follow the signs for Covão do Boi and park in the designated parking area near the entrance to the natural preserve. The scenic drive offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Unhais da Serra to Manteigas. Buses run several times a day and the ticket price is approximately €5. Once you arrive in Manteigas, you will need to catch a local taxi to Covão do Boi, as public transport does not directly reach the site. Expect to pay around €10-€15 for the taxi, which will take you directly to the entrance of Covão do Boi.
