If you're traveling by car from Serra da Estrela, start by heading towards the A23 highway. Follow the signs for A23, and merge onto it. Continue on A23 for about 130 km until you reach the exit for A1 towards Lisbon. Merge onto A1 and follow it for approximately 150 km. Take exit 5 towards Av. Infante D. Henrique and continue straight onto Av. Magalhães Lima. Finally, follow signs for Estr. da Bela Vista. The Panorâmico de Monsanto will be on your right. Be aware of potential tolls along the highways.

From Serra da Estrela, take a bus to Covilhã. From Covilhã, catch a bus to Lisbon, which usually takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Once in Lisbon, take the Metro to the Oriente station. From Oriente, transfer to bus number 727, which will take you directly to Panorâmico de Monsanto. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they can vary.
