Getting There

• Bus

  From Setúbal city center, head to the bus station located at Praça do Brasil. Take the bus number 573 towards Almada. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Almada stop. From there, walk towards R. da Cerca, which should take about 10 minutes. Follow the signs pointing toward the Almada market, then turn left onto R. da Cerca. Bar A Cerca will be on your right at number 1.

• Ferry

  Start by making your way to the Setúbal ferry terminal, located near the city center. Take the ferry to Cacilhas, which operates frequently and takes around 15 minutes. Once you arrive in Cacilhas, exit the ferry terminal and head towards the main road, Avenida Infante Dom Henrique. From there, you can catch the bus number 101 or 103 towards Almada. Alight at the Almada stop and walk to R. da Cerca for about 10 minutes, where Bar A Cerca is located at number 1.

• Walking

  If you prefer walking and are up for a longer trek, you can walk from Setúbal to Almada. The distance is approximately 10 km and will take about 2 hours. Start by heading towards the bridge over the River Tagus. Follow the pedestrian path across the 25 de Abril Bridge (note that this may not be feasible for everyone, and it's advisable to check if pedestrian access is allowed). Once in Almada, head down to R. da Cerca and find Bar A Cerca at number 1.

• Taxi/ride-sharing

  You can use a taxi or a ride-sharing app from Setúbal to reach Almada. Simply request a ride to R. da Cerca 1, 2800-050 Almada. The drive usually takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm with the driver that the destination is correct before starting your journey.
