Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the center of Cascais, start at the Cascais train station. Exit the station and head straight towards the main avenue, Av. Dom Carlos I. Walk along the avenue until you reach the beach promenade. Continue walking along the promenade towards the west, enjoying the view of the ocean. After about 20 minutes, you will reach the end of the promenade where you will see a large staircase leading up. Ascend the staircase, and at the top, you will find yourself at Lgo da Boca do Vento, where the Panoramic Elevator of Boca do Vento is located.

• Bus

  From Cascais, head to the Cascais bus terminal located near the train station. Look for the bus service to Almada. The bus number 403 will take you to Almada. Once you board the bus, it will take approximately 25 minutes to reach Almada. Get off at the stop 'Cacilhas'. From there, follow the signs towards the riverfront. Walk a short distance towards Lgo da Boca do Vento, which is about a 10-minute stroll uphill, where you will find the Panoramic Elevator of Boca do Vento.

• Taxi or Ride-Sharing

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or use a ride-sharing app like Uber. Simply enter ‘Lgo da Boca do Vento, Almada’ as your destination. The drive from central Cascais to the Panoramic Elevator of Boca do Vento should take about 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm with the driver that you are heading to the correct location.

• Bicycle

  If you enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Cascais. Start from the center and cycle along the coastal road towards Almada. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach Almada, follow the signs that lead you to Lgo da Boca do Vento. The path is mostly flat with some gentle inclines, making it suitable for cyclists of all levels.
