Walking
If you are in the city center of Setúbal, start by making your way to the Setúbal train station (Estação Ferroviária de Setúbal). From the train station, head east on Rua do Comércio towards Avenida Luísa Todi. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the waterfront promenade. Follow this promenade south until you reach the ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Lisbon. Once you arrive in Lisbon, exit the ferry and walk towards Cais do Sodré Metro station. Take the Green Line towards Telheiras and get off at Baixa-Chiado station. From there, follow the signs for the Bica funicular (ELEVADOR da BICA), located on Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo. It’s a short walk of about 5 minutes.

From Setúbal, head to the main bus terminal (Terminal Rodoviário). Take the bus to Lisbon (Lisboa). The journey usually takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Lisbon, you can either walk to Cais do Sodré Metro station or take a short tram ride. From Cais do Sodré, take the Green Line Metro towards Telheiras and get off at Baixa-Chiado station. After exiting the station, walk towards Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo to reach the ELEVADOR da BICA, which is approximately a 5-minute walk.

Begin your journey at Setúbal's main train station. Walk to the nearest tram stop and take Tram 1 towards Lisbon. This scenic tram ride will take you across the river to Lisbon. Once you arrive at the Lisbon tram terminal, disembark and walk to the nearest Metro station, which is Cais do Sodré. From Cais do Sodré, board the Green Line Metro towards Telheiras. Get off at Baixa-Chiado station. From there, follow the signs to the Bica funicular located on Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo, which is about a 5-minute walk away.
