Begin your journey at Setúbal Train Station (Estação Ferroviária de Setúbal). Purchase a ticket for Lisbon (Lisboa) and board the train heading towards Lisbon. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lisbon's Cais do Sodré Station, exit the train station and head towards the riverfront.

From Cais do Sodré Station, walk east along the riverfront promenade (Cais do Sodré). Continue walking for about 1.5 km until you reach Praça do Comércio, a large square by the river. Take the road that leads out of the square towards Rua da Alfândega. After a few blocks, turn left onto Rua Cais de Alfândega Velha. The Lisbon Earthquake 1755 museum will be on your right at number 39.

From the Cais do Sodré Station, catch the bus number 728 towards Campo de Ourique. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the stop called 'Alfândega'. Walk back towards the river along Rua Cais de Alfândega Velha. The Lisbon Earthquake 1755 museum is located at number 39 on this street.

From Setúbal, take a train to Lisbon and arrive at Cais do Sodré. From there, take the Metro (Green Line) to Baixa-Chiado Station. Exit at the station and walk towards Praça do Comércio. Then follow Rua da Alfândega, turning left onto Rua Cais de Alfândega Velha. The museum will be at number 39.
