Getting There

  • Train

    From Cascais, head to the Cascais train station located near the town center. Purchase a ticket to Lisbon, ensuring to board a train heading to Cais do Sodré station. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Cais do Sodré, exit the station and walk towards the riverfront. Follow the river along Rua da Cintura do Porto de Lisboa until you reach Praça do Comércio.

    Take bus number 414 from Cascais, which departs from the main bus terminal in Cascais. The bus will take you directly to Lisbon, where you'll need to get off at the 'Cais do Sodré' bus stop. From there, walk towards the riverfront and follow the signs to Praça do Comércio, then continue walking towards Largo Portas do Sol.

  • Walking

    If you are already in the historic district of Lisbon, start at Praça do Comércio. From there, walk along Rua do Comércio until you reach Rua da Alfândega. Continue on this street, which turns into Rua da Graça. Follow the signs towards Miradouro da Graça, and from there, you can reach Largo Portas do Sol by walking up the steep path that leads directly to the viewpoint.

    From Cascais, take the train to Cais do Sodré. Upon arrival, transfer to the metro and take the Green Line towards Telheiras. Get off at the 'Baixa-Chiado' station.
