Bus
From Setúbal city center, head to the main bus station at Terminal Rodoviário de Setúbal. Take bus number 20 (or any bus heading towards São Simão) and get off at the stop 'São Simão'. From the bus stop, walk towards Estrada Nacional 10, and you will find Palácio da Bacalhôa a short walk down the road on your right.
Taxi
You can hail a taxi from anywhere in Setúbal. Simply provide the driver with the address 'Estrada Nacional 10, 2925-901 São Simão'. The journey usually takes around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and are located near the outskirts of Setúbal, you can walk to Palácio da Bacalhôa. Start from Praça do Brasil, head east on Rua da Liberdade towards Avenida 5 de Outubro. Continue straight until you reach Estrada Nacional 10. Turn left and continue walking until you see the entrance to Palácio da Bacalhôa on your right. This walk can take approximately 1.5 hours, so be prepared with comfortable shoes and water.
