Getting There

    If you are in the center of Sintra, walk to the Sintra train station. From there, take a train to Lisbon, which takes about 40 minutes. When you arrive at Rossio Station in Lisbon, exit the station and head towards the metro station. Take the Metro Line Green towards Cais do Sodré and get off at the Baixa-Chiado station. From Baixa-Chiado, walk towards Rua da Prata, then turn right onto Rua do Ouro and continue until you reach Praça do Comércio. From there, head east towards Alfama. You can follow Rua da Alfândega and then take a left on Rua do Chafariz de Dentro, which leads directly to Largo do Chafariz de Dentro where the Fado Museum is located.

    From Sintra, take the train to Lisbon from the Sintra train station. Once you arrive at Rossio Station, transfer to the Metro. Take the Green Line towards Cais do Sodré and get off at the Baixa-Chiado station. From there, you can either walk or take a tram to Alfama. If walking, head towards Rua da Prata, turn right onto Rua do Ouro and continue until you reach Praça do Comércio. From there, head northeast to Alfama by following the signs to the Fado Museum. You can also take Tram 28 from Praça do Comércio, which goes through Alfama, getting off at the stop named 'Chafariz de Dentro', which is very close to the museum.
