    Getting There

    Walking

    From Sintra's historic center, head east on Rua da Ferraria towards the Praça da República. Continue straight until you reach the train station, Estação de Sintra. Take the train to Lisbon, which departs frequently and takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Rossio Station in Lisbon, exit the station and walk towards the Restauradores Square. From there, walk up Avenida da Liberdade until you reach Praça do Rossio. Continue straight until you see the signs for Chiado, then follow the signs that lead you to Largo do Chiado, which is a vibrant square located in the heart of the Chiado neighborhood.

    Bus

    At the Sintra train station, board the bus number 434 or 435. These buses will take you directly to Lisbon. Get off at the Praça do Comércio stop. From there, walk towards Rua da Prata, and follow it until you reach the intersection with Rua Garrett. Turn left onto Rua Garrett, and you will arrive at Largo do Chiado.

    Taxi

    You can take a taxi from anywhere in Sintra directly to Largo do Chiado. Just tell the driver 'Largo do Chiado' and they will know the destination. The journey should take about 30 minutes depending on traffic.
