Getting There

Train
From Sintra station, take the train towards Lisbon (Lisboa). The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Cais do Sodré station, exit the train and follow the signs to the metro. Take the green line (Linha Verde) towards Telheiras and get off at the Baixa-Chiado station. From there, transfer to the blue line (Linha Azul) towards Santa Apolónia and get off at the Terreiro do Paço station. Exit the station and walk towards the river, then follow the waterfront towards Praça Afonso de Albuquerque, where the Palácio Nacional de Belém is located.

Bus
From Sintra, head to the Sintra bus station located near the train station. Take bus number 403 to Lisbon. The bus will take you directly to the city center. Once you reach the city, get off at the Campo de Ourique stop. From there, you can either walk (about 20 minutes) or catch bus number 727 towards Cais do Sodré. Get off at the Praça Afonso de Albuquerque stop, and the Palácio Nacional de Belém will be right in front of you.
