Bus
From Tomar, head to the Tomar Bus Station (Terminal Rodoviário de Tomar) located at Av. 25 de Abril. You can walk there from the city center in about 10 minutes. Once at the bus station, purchase a ticket for Batalha. Buses from Tomar to Batalha run frequently throughout the day. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival at Batalha, disembark at the terminal, and you will find yourself within walking distance of Batalha Monastery.

Train and Bus
Start at Tomar Train Station (Estação de Tomar), which is about a 15-minute walk from the city center. Board a train heading to the city of Leiria. After arriving at Leiria, transfer to a bus that goes to Batalha. This transfer may take a bit longer, approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes in total. Once in Batalha, the monastery is a short walk from the bus stop.

Walking
If you prefer to explore on foot, you can walk the scenic route from Tomar to Batalha. The distance is approximately 20 km and will take around 4-5 hours. Start by following the N110 road north out of Tomar. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Batalha. The route takes you through beautiful countryside and small villages, but be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water along the way.
