Bus
From the center of Tomar, head to the main bus station, which is located at Avenida da Liberdade. Look for buses heading towards 'Fátima' or 'Ourém'. Ensure to check the bus schedules as they can vary. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you wish to go to Fragas de São Simão. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes, and the bus will stop near the entrance to the attraction. Once you get off, follow the signs for Fragas de São Simão, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, start from Praça da República in the center of Tomar. Head south on Rua Serpa Pinto until you reach the Templar Castle. Continue straight onto Rua da Liberdade. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will come to a fork in the road; take the left path towards Fragas de São Simão. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the attraction. This walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes.
Taxi
You can also take a taxi from anywhere in Tomar directly to Fragas de São Simão. Simply find a nearby taxi rank or use a ride-hailing app if available. The taxi ride will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to communicate the destination clearly to the driver, and they will take you directly to the entrance of Fragas de São Simão.
