If you're starting from the main square, Praça da República, head south down Rua da Liberdade. Continue straight until you reach Rua de Serpa Pinto. Turn left onto Rua de Serpa Pinto and walk until you reach the intersection with Rua São João. Turn right onto Rua São João and continue walking for about 300 meters. The Igreja de São João Baptista will be on your left at number 135.

From the Tomar Train Station, exit onto Avenida da Liberdade and turn right. Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Rua da Piedade. Continue straight until you see the intersection with Rua São João. Turn left onto Rua São João. The church will be on your right at number 135, just a few meters ahead.

If you are near the Convent of Christ (Convento de Cristo), exit the convent and head down the hill towards the city. Once you reach the bottom, continue straight onto Rua de Pina Manique. When you reach the end of the street, turn right onto Rua de Serpa Pinto. After a short walk, turn left onto Rua São João, and you will find the Igreja de São João Baptista at number 135.
