From the center of Viseu, head to the main bus station, Terminal Rodoviário de Viseu. Take Bus Line 1 that goes towards Tomar. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Tomar, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, walk towards Pça Alves Redol which is about a 10-minute walk. Head northeast on Av. Marquês de Pombal and turn right onto Rua da Liberdade. Continue until you reach the square.

Walk to the Viseu train station, Estação Ferroviária de Viseu. Take a train to Tomar; it may require a transfer in another city, so check the schedules ahead of time. Once you arrive at Tomar station, exit and head towards Pça Alves Redol, which is approximately a 15-minute walk. You can follow the signs towards the town center, and then proceed to the square.

If you are already in the town of Tomar, you can reach Pça Alves Redol on foot. Start from the main square, Praça da República, and head towards Rua da Liberdade. Continue straight for about 600 meters, then turn left onto Pça Alves Redol. The Arcos do Estau will be visible as you approach the square.
