Getting There

Walking
From the center of Tomar, head north towards Praça da República. Continue straight onto Rua de Serpa Pinto. After about 400 meters, turn left onto Rua do Comércio. Walk for another 300 meters until you reach the junction with Avenida das Forças Armadas. Turn right onto Avenida das Forças Armadas and walk straight for about 1.2 kilometers. You will see the signs for Batalha; continue walking until you reach Estr. da Boutaca. The Ponte da Boutaca will be ahead.

From the main bus station in Tomar (Estação Rodoviária), take the bus to Batalha. The bus to Batalha runs regularly, and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Batalha bus station, exit and head south on Estr. da Boutaca for about 500 meters. The Ponte da Boutaca will be on your left side.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle at one of the local shops in Tomar. Start from the center of Tomar and head towards Avenida das Forças Armadas, following the same route as for walking.
