Getting There

• Bus

  From Viana do Castelo, head to the Viana do Castelo Bus Station (Terminal Rodoviário). You can walk there from the city center; it’s about a 15-minute walk. Once at the bus station, look for buses heading to Esposende. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arriving in Esposende, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk: exit the bus stop, turn left onto Rua da Liberdade, and continue walking straight until you reach Largo Rodrigues Sampaio where the Municipal Market Esposende is located.

  Walk to the Viana do Castelo Train Station, which is about a 20-minute walk from the city center. Purchase a ticket for a train to Esposende. Once you arrive at Esposende Train Station, take a local bus or a taxi to get to Largo Rodrigues Sampaio. If opting for a bus, check the local schedules, as they might vary. The journey from the train station to the market usually takes about 10-15 minutes.

Follow the coastal path south towards Esposende, enjoying views of the Atlantic Ocean. Once you reach Esposende, head towards Largo Rodrigues Sampaio to find the Municipal Market Esposende.
