From Praça da República, head northwest towards Rua de José Afonso. Continue straight onto Rua de São Bento. After a few minutes, you will reach the junction with Avenida de Cabo Verde. Turn left onto Avenida de Cabo Verde and walk straight. Keep walking until you reach the roundabout near the waterfront. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida da Liberdade. Continue walking along this avenue until you see the Monumento ao 25 de Abril on your left-hand side. It is a prominent landmark that you cannot miss.
