From the center of Viana do Castelo, head to the main bus station, which is located at Praça da República. Look for the bus that goes towards Giela. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus stop in Giela, walk towards the direction of Paço de Giela, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs or use a map app for precise directions.

If you prefer to walk and are staying in Viana do Castelo, start from the city center at Praça da República. Head northeast on Rua de Santo António, continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenida de São João. Keep walking straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach Giela. Once in Giela, follow the signs to Paço de Giela, which will be a short walk from the main road.

Consider renting a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Viana do Castelo. From the city center, take Avenida de São João and head northeast. There are bike lanes available. Follow the same route as pedestrians, which is about 2 kilometers. It should take around 10-15 minutes to reach Giela. Once you arrive, park your bike and walk to Paço de Giela, which is nearby.
