This was our second time engaging Andre as our tour guide in Portugal, and once again, he exceeded all expectations. Highly recommended by friends, Andre impressed us on our first visit with his responsiveness, patience, incredible knowledge and genuine pride in his country. A friend was recommending places for us to visit and eventually asked about our plans. Our answer? “Actually, not sure, but we’ve got a guy!” That’s how much we trust Andre. We came to Portugal with virtually no plans and simply let the magic happen. This time, we spent an incredible weekend in Porto, starting with a food trail through authentic local eateries and markets we would never have discovered on our own. The highlight was a private yacht ride through the Douro Valley, with the most romantic, breathtaking scenery. It was truly magical and worth every penny and more. Along the way, Andre introduced us to wonderful locals — from our captain and a winemaker to a leather artisan — whose warmth and hospitality made the experience even more special. This was our wedding anniversary trip and it was our most special one yet. Andre outdid himself with another perfectly customised itinerary, taking care of every detail so we could simply be present and enjoy the experience. If you want to discover the real, beautiful Portugal beyond the usual tourist trail, we cannot recommend Andre and his team highly enough. We’re so grateful our paths crossed and can’t wait to return for more adventures — this time with our children!
