If you are starting from the Viana do Castelo train station, exit the station and head south towards Rua do Comércio. Continue straight until you reach the main square, Praça da República. From the square, take Rua da Bandeira and walk straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra. Keep walking straight; you will see Parque 1 Maio on your left, at the address Rua Nova de Santana 2 84.

From the main bus station in Viana do Castelo, take bus number 17 towards 'São Pedro de Rates.' After approximately 5 stops, disembark at 'Caxinas.' From there, it's a short 10-minute walk: head north on Rua Nova de Santana, and Parque 1 Maio will be on your right at Rua Nova de Santana 2 84.

If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops near the city center. Start your ride towards the riverfront along Avenida de Cabo Verde. Follow the waterfront and then turn left onto Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra. Continue riding straight until you see Parque 1 Maio on your left at Rua Nova de Santana 2 84. It’s about a 15-minute bike ride from the city center.
