Buses to Tomar run several times a day and the journey will take approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival in Tomar, you will need to walk approximately 3 kilometers to reach Castelo do Bode. Head northeast on Rua da Estação, continue onto Rua da Liberdade, then turn left onto Rua da Saúde. Follow the signs toward the river and you will find the entrance to Castelo do Bode.

    From Viseu, walk to the Viseu train station located in the city center. Take a train towards Santa Comba Dão. After arriving at Santa Comba Dão, transfer to a local bus heading to Tomar. The bus journey will take about 30 minutes. Once in Tomar, you can walk to Castelo do Bode which is about 3 kilometers away. Follow the directions from the bus stop towards the river and look for signs pointing to Castelo do Bode.
