Car
From Arecibo Observatory, exit the observatory parking lot and turn left onto PR-625. Continue on PR-625 for about 1.5 miles until you reach the junction with PR-2. Turn right onto PR-2 and drive for approximately 3 miles. Take the exit for PR-681 towards Arecibo Pueblo. Continue on PR-681 for about 1 mile, then turn left onto Avenida Maceo. After 0.5 miles, turn right onto Calle San Luis. Finally, follow the signs to Playa Abacoa, which will be on your right after approximately 0.3 miles.

From Arecibo Observatory, you can take a local bus (guagua) heading towards Arecibo Pueblo. Make sure to ask the driver if the bus passes near Playa Abacoa. The bus fare is typically around $1.50. Once you reach Arecibo Pueblo, you may need to walk or take a taxi for the remaining distance to Playa Abacoa, which is about 1 mile away. Taxis are available, and the fare should be around $5.
