If you are in central Arecibo, start your journey by heading towards the main square, Plaza de Arecibo. From the square, walk towards Calle de la Libertad and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida Concepción. Turn left onto Avenida Concepción. Follow this road as it curves to the right and becomes PR-2. Continue walking on PR-2 until you reach the exit for Tanamá. You should see signs indicating 'Tanamá'. After about 15 minutes, you will arrive at the entrance to Charco Hondo, which is situated along the road. Look for signs indicating the natural pool area.
Public Transport
To reach Charco Hondo using public transport, locate the nearest bus stop in Arecibo. You can catch a bus heading towards Tanamá or any bus that indicates it will pass through the area. Buses in Arecibo are often marked with their destination on the front. Request the driver to drop you off at Charco Hondo.
