We had a wonderful experience on this tour and I would absolutely recommend it. José was very responsible and communicative from the beginning. The day before the tour, he confirmed everything with us, explained what to expect, and sent clear instructions about the meeting point, which was very easy to find. He was there waiting for us right on time. From the moment the tour started, he was incredibly friendly, engaged, and knowledgeable about the history of Old San Juan. You could really tell that he cares about the history and about giving people a meaningful experience, rather than simply repeating facts. His wife joined us as well, and she was also extremely knowledgeable, particularly when it came to architecture. Together, they added so much to the experience. What impressed us the most was how attentive they were to our group. They took our interests into consideration, adapted the tour accordingly, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the experience. They were completely flexible if we needed to slow down, take a break, or spend more time discussing something that interested us. The tour actually went beyond the scheduled time because they were so generous with their time and genuinely went the extra mile to make sure we had a great experience. Both of them were incredibly friendly, kind, and welcoming. We really enjoyed our time with them and would definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in the history, architecture, culture, and stories of Old San Juan. One practical tip: bring plenty of water, wear light and comfortable clothing, and make sure you have good walking shoes or sneakers. There is quite a bit of walking, and Old San Juan can get warm in the summer. We went in the morning, and the streets were not overly crowded, so we were able to walk around very comfortably.
