Getting there

Public Bus

From the main bus station in Arecibo, take the bus heading towards Orocovis. The bus will take you along PR-10. Make sure to let the driver know that you want to go to Charco el Morón. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach the stop near Río Toro Negro, get off and walk towards the river, following the signs to Charco el Morón.

Bicycle Rental

If you prefer to explore on two wheels, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Arecibo. Head towards PR-10 and pedal towards Orocovis. The journey is about 15 kilometers and will take approximately 1-1.5 hours depending on your cycling pace. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Río Toro Negro, and once you arrive, follow the path to Charco el Morón.

Walking

For the adventurous, you can walk from the center of Arecibo to Charco el Morón. Start at Plaza de Recreo and head southeast along Calle Ruiz Belvis until you reach PR-10. Turn right and continue walking for about 15 km. This walk will take approximately 3-4 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Once you reach Río Toro Negro, follow the signs to Charco el Morón.
