Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the central area of Cabo Rojo, near Plaza de Recreo. Head southwest along Calle José de Diego towards the Calle de la Playa. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with PR-100. Cross the street safely and continue along PR-100 heading towards Lajas. Follow the sidewalk as it curves and eventually leads you to the Bosque Estatal de Boquerón. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards the nature preserve.

  • Public Transport

    From Cabo Rojo, locate the nearest bus stop that services routes towards Lajas. Board a bus heading towards Lajas and inform the driver of your destination (Bosque Estatal de Boquerón). The bus will drop you off at the PR-100 junction. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 km along PR-100. Look for signs directing you to the Bosque Estatal de Boquerón, which will be on your left.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Cabo Rojo Lighthouse. Head towards PR-100, cycling southwest. Follow PR-100 for about 4 km until you reach the entrance to Bosque Estatal de Boquerón, which will be marked by signage. There are bike racks available near the entrance for secure parking.
