Car
If you are driving, start from the main entrance of the Caribbean National Forest. Head southeast on PR-191 towards El Yunque. After approximately 10 miles, merge onto PR-3 South towards Humacao. Continue on PR-3 for about 20 miles until you reach the exit for Humacao. Take the exit towards Humacao and continue on PR-924. After a short drive, turn left onto Academy Drive. Follow Academy Drive until you reach the Pterocarpus Forest at 5 Academy Drive, Humacao, 00791.
Public Transportation
To reach Pterocarpus Forest via public transportation, take a bus from the main terminal in San Juan to Humacao. The bus ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Humacao bus terminal, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to get to Pterocarpus Forest, which is about 10 minutes away.
