Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main town of Culebra, Dewey. Head east on PR-251 until you reach the intersection with PR-250. Turn left onto PR-250 and continue for about 4 miles. You'll pass through some beautiful landscapes. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Flamenco Beach, as Playa Resaca is located near there. Once you reach Flamenco Beach, you can find a parking lot where you can leave your vehicle. Please note that parking may incur a small fee, usually around $5 for the day.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a local taxi or a shared van (known as 'carros públicos') from Dewey to Flamenco Beach. The fare is generally around $3 to $5 per person, depending on the demand and time of day. Once you arrive at Flamenco Beach, you can either walk along the beach to reach Playa Resaca or ask a local for directions, as it is nearby. Be prepared for a bit of a walk along the beach; it adds to the adventure!
Walking
If you are already at Flamenco Beach, you can reach Playa Resaca by walking east along the shoreline. It's a beautiful walk with stunning views of the ocean. Keep walking for about 10-15 minutes, keeping the water on your right side, and you will arrive at Playa Resaca. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the sand can be soft in some areas.
