Getting There
Car Rental
If you have rented a car while on Culebra Island, start from the main town of Dewey. Head east on Route 251 toward Flamenco Beach. After approximately 2 miles, you'll see a sign for Playa Brava on your right. Turn onto the dirt road that leads to the beach. Parking is available near the entrance, but be aware that it can fill up quickly, especially on weekends. There is no fee for parking.
Public Transportation (Taxi or Shared Taxi)
To reach Playa Brava using a taxi or shared taxi (also known as 'carros públicos'), find a taxi stand in Dewey. Negotiate the fare with the driver before getting in, as these taxis do not have meters. The ride to Playa Brava should cost approximately $5-10 per person. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to Playa Brava, where you'll find a short walk down to the beach.
Walking
If you are staying nearby, you can walk to Playa Brava directly from the town of Flamenco, which is about a 1-mile walk. Head east along the main road, and you will see signs directing you toward Playa Brava. Be mindful of the sun and bring water, as the walk can be warm.
